The Municipality of Almeirim intends to build 566 homes by 2036, of which 306 through direct promotion by the council and the remaining 260 in partnership with the social sector and housing and construction cooperatives. The objective is set out in the Municipal Housing Charter, approved on Monday morning, September 14, during an extraordinary meeting of the Almeirim Municipal Council Executive.
The document was approved by the council and now proceeds for consideration, discussion and voting at the Municipal Assembly. The Municipal Housing Charter starts from a diagnosis of the municipality's reality, which identifies 133 situations of unworthy housing conditions still unresolved, to which are added 166 new support requests that were subsequently received.
By 2036, the municipality estimates that it may be necessary to find responses for between 220 and 340 family households within supported housing and for between 430 and 690 households in the affordable housing area. The document also foresees the creation of function houses, whose content is cut off in the article.
