A forest fire is underway in the locality of Sanhoane, in the municipality of Santa Marta de Penaguião, district of Vila Real. The fire, of rural nature, is active and is mobilizing firefighting resources to the area.
Authorities deployed 18 personnel and 4 ground resources to the scene to combat the flames. No aerial resources were assigned to this incident.
The fire had not been contained by authorities at the time of publication. The situation continued to evolve without it being possible to determine the extent of the damage caused.
