The government is working to finalize the ordinance that will regulate the new diesel subsidy, which was announced last week. On Friday, a Provisional Measure (MP) was published authorizing the additional subsidy of R$ 1.00 per liter of diesel.
However, for the initiative to effectively take effect, additional regulation through this ordinance is necessary. The federal government is responsible for finalizing this document that will establish the rules for applying the subsidy.
The delay in regulation has been generating demands from the private sector, especially diesel importers. The sector awaits the publication of the ordinance to be able to operationalize the measure.
