A British man in his sixties admitted today before a court in Manchester to having drugged and raped his wife for over twenty years. The man's identity cannot be revealed to protect the victim's anonymity. The court heard that he pleaded guilty to 60 sexual crimes, including rape and administering substances to render his wife unconscious.
The crimes allegedly occurred between 2004 and 2025, a period of more than two decades during which the man regularly subjected his wife to sexual acts without her consent, taking advantage of the unconscious state caused by the substances he administered.
This case also involves twelve other men who are equally accused of having sexually assaulted that woman while she was unconscious. The trial continues at Manchester Crown Court, where authorities are investigating the involvement of these additional suspects.
The temporal extent of the crimes and the high number of charges make this case particularly serious in the British judicial system, where authorities continue to gather evidence and hear testimonies related to the alleged assaults committed by third parties.
