Unprecedented, the plenary session of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) this Tuesday will address the messages sent by former banker Daniel Vorcaro to Justice Alexandre de Moraes on the eve of his arrest. The case presents far more questions than certainties, with scenarios ranging from postponement and non-discussion of the dialogues' content to the first investigation into a Court justice in its 135-year history.
The trial procedure was announced by the STF on Monday afternoon. The session will begin with the reading of the report, a kind of case summary, to be made by the Court president, Edson Fachin. Then, space will be opened for the attorney general of Brazil, Paulo Gonet, to speak in person about the case.
Additionally, the possibility of "oral arguments," normally made by lawyers, is cited. Afterward, Fachin will read his vote on the case, opening space for the other justices to vote in sequence.
