Rede Expressos Resumes Lisbon/Moura Route Suspended Since the Pandemic

Rádio Campanário14 September 2026 at 18:01

The express route between Lisbon and Moura will resume from October 5, 2026, after being suspended since the COVID-19 pandemic period. The decision was communicated by Rede Nacional de Expressos to the Mayor of Moura, Álvaro Azedo, who shared the information through social media.

The Lisbon/Moura express service will have its origin and destination at Moura Intermodal Station, strengthening the transport options available to residents who need to travel between Moura and the capital. The route will operate on Sundays, switching to Mondays whenever Sunday coincides with a public holiday.

The resumption of this service represents a contribution to improving the mobility of Moura's residents, allowing them to regain a direct connection to the capital that had been interrupted for several years. Moura Intermodal Station will thus once again be integrated into this express route with Lisbon.

Why this matters

Moura residents will again be able to travel directly to Lisbon by express service, representing a significant improvement in mobility for those who need to travel to the capital. The resumption of this route was a long-standing demand from the local community, which has been without this transportation option since the pandemic.
