The Maritime Police and GNR carried out today, September 14, a joint operation in the Algarve that resulted in the detention of nine individuals, aged between 17 and 29. The suspects are alleged to be involved in activities aiding drug trafficking.
During the operation, 100 fuel jerrycans were seized near a famous beach in the Algarve, in the municipality of Albufeira. The fuel was related to the criminal activities under investigation.
The joint operation between the two security forces aimed to combat drug trafficking in the Algarve region, resulting in these seizures and detentions. The nine detained individuals were placed in preventive detention.
