The Regional Government will make 870 thousand euros available to compensate operators in the fishing, aquaculture, and fish processing sectors for the extraordinary increase in fuel costs recorded in 2026.
The support aims to help these companies face the market disruption caused by the situation in the Middle East, which has affected the operational costs of the sector.
The funding will be channeled through the MAR 2030 program, which is the community financial instrument dedicated to the fisheries and maritime sector.
With this measure, the regional executive intends to strengthen the financial capacity of sector companies to cope with the scenario of high fuel prices.
