Ana Catarina Loureiro Returns to Credibom to Lead Legal and Compliance Area

Ana Catarina Loureiro was appointed head of Legal and Compliance at Banco Credibom, returning to the institution where she had previously worked between 2015 and 2019. She had been leading the Compliance area at Santander Consumer Portugal since October 2019, where she oversaw regulatory matters, anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing prevention, product governance, internal control, and data protection.

With over two decades of experience in Compliance and Risk areas, Ana Catarina Loureiro holds a degree in Finance from ISCTE and has several postgraduate degrees, including in Financial Markets, Banking Law, and, most recently, in Compliance for Corruption Prevention.

The new head of Legal and Compliance will lead an area that Credibom intends to strengthen, with the objective of consolidating legal advisory, compliance culture, and regulatory risk management, following the evolution of applicable rules in the banking and insurance sectors.

Banco Credibom is wholly owned by the French group Crédit Agricole, is specialized in consumer credit and automotive financing in Portugal, has been present in the Portuguese market for over 30 years, and has more than 800 partners in the automotive and home retail sectors.
