The 28th International Book Fair of São Paulo, which ended on October 13 after starting on September 4, registered the largest attendance in its history with 760,000 people, surpassing the 722,000 visitors from 2024. The event was marked by crowds, lines, and teenage enthusiasm, as well as exceptional sales.
The exhibitors' average revenue was 57% higher than that of the previous edition, indicating significant growth in sales during the event. Among the highlights, American author Lynn Painter, the best-selling author at Intrínseca Editora, recorded revenue 85% higher than in 2024.
Writer Raphael Montes also stood out as a bestseller, with his erotic thriller "The Stranger in the Bed," launched at the event, ranking first in sales at the Companhia das Letras booth, followed by "Secret Dinner."
