The Government decided to assign part of Pego's energy to the Local Technological Zone (ZLT) of Abrantes. This decision comes after a visit at the invitation of the municipality to the area in question.
The minister in question also delegated the local management of the ZLT to Tagusvalley, an entity that was previously under the command of DGEG (Directorate-General for Energy and Geology).
During the visit, the minister highlighted the importance of existing industrial knowledge in the Abrantes region, arguing that this should be used for the development of the technological zone.
The transfer of management to Tagusvalley marks a change in the administrative structure of the ZLT, which now becomes locally managed instead of directly by DGEG.
