Brendan McManus will leave the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PIB Group after 11 years, now taking on the role of Chairman of the Board of the British broker. McManus stated that the group is in a "strong market position" and that this is the "right time" to make way for new leadership.
During the transition period, PIB Group's management will be ensured by the newly created CEO Office, an executive body chaired by Jo Payne, Chief People Officer, which includes COO Rob Houghton, CFO Alastair Hay, General Counsel Carl McMillan, and Ryan Brown, who takes on the role of Chief Growth Officer.
Over the past decade, under McManus's leadership, PIB Group grew to operate in 12 countries, a expansion driven primarily by its mergers and acquisitions policy. In Portugal, where the group entered in 2025 with the acquisition of broker Vitorinos, the most recent expansion operation occurred in April 2026, with the purchase of AQS and Seguraz, strengthening its presence in the north of the country and in the commercial insurance segment.
PIB Group has approximately four thousand employees and manages a global insurance portfolio valued at approximately six billion euros, having completed 37 acquisitions of brokers and agents.
