A 71-year-old woman is missing in Valença, in the district of Viana do Castelo. The family made a plea on social media asking for help to find the elderly woman, who reportedly disappeared around 06:00 on Sunday, in the São Bento area, in Cerdal.

The National Republican Guard (GNR) of Valença confirmed to the Portuguese news agency that it received the report and began search operations on Monday, approximately at 12:00. The information was provided by a source from the Territorial Command of the GNR of Viana do Castelo.
