"Fruit Heroes" Project contributes to the consumption of healthy products

Funchal Notícias14 September 2026 at 18:51

The "Fruit Heroes" Project is a pedagogical initiative that aims to change food behaviors and routines in childhood, encouraging the consumption of healthy products among children. The program's approach stands out for using playful dynamics that overcome conventional theoretical teaching, in order to truly motivate students in the classroom.

The monitoring of the program during the 2024/2025 school year is being carried out by the Institute of Environmental Health. The Project is being implemented in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, where it aims to face one of the most complex pedagogical challenges of today: changing eating habits from childhood.
