Venezuelan writer and journalist Karina Sainz Borgo, currently living in Spain, published the novel "Nazarena", a work inspired by her own family that addresses the theme of women. This is her third book, following the previous publications "The Night Falls in Caracas" and "The Third Country".
In an interview with Diário de Notícias, Sainz Borgo spoke about the profound political transformations that Venezuela has been undergoing. The author used a particularly strong expression to characterize the current situation, stating that the country went from Chávez to Maduro and now finds itself facing what she called "Commander Trump", referring to the American foreign policy towards Venezuela.
The conversation also addressed two female figures who currently stand out in the Venezuelan political scene: Delcy Rodríguez and María Corina Machado. According to the article, both are betting on the United States as part of their political strategies to deal with the country's situation.
The novel "Nazarena" thus emerges as another literary contribution from Sainz Borgo to portray Venezuelan reality, continuing to explore themes that were already present in her previous works, but now with a specific focus on the experience and lives of women.
