A collision between a motorcycle and a scooter occurred on Monday night, September 14, on National Road 114, in the Industrial Zone of Almeirim, resulting in two male injuries aged around 25. The scooter rider was in critical condition, while the other man suffered serious injuries.
The victims are residents of Almeirim and were assisted at the scene by rescue teams, who managed to stabilize them before the transfer. The critically injured person will be transported by ambulance to Santarém, from where he will be transferred by helicopter to a hospital unit in Lisbon.
The alert for the accident was given at 10:15 PM. The rescue operations involved 22 operatives supported by eight vehicles from the Voluntary Firefighters of Almeirim, the Emergency Medical and Resuscitation Vehicle team from the District Hospital of Santarém, and the National Republican Guard of Almeirim.
