The Attorney General, Amadeu Guerra, stated this Tuesday that the Public Prosecutor's Office is "working to make everything quick" in the cases involving the Minister of Internal Administration, Luís Neves, and the alleged break-in and theft at the office of Chega's president, André Ventura. These statements were made at the end of the inauguration ceremony of the new Palace of Justice in Beja.
Regarding the investigations involving Minister Luís Neves, the PGR stated that the Public Prosecutor's Office has planned steps and is "waiting for them to be carried out." The proceedings are under judicial secrecy, highlighted Amadeu Guerra, who only provided details about the inquiry underway at the Administrative and Tax Court of Beja regarding the constructions on the property owned by the MAI in Odemira, in the district of Beja.
According to the PGR, the Public Prosecutor's Office is gathering information about the licensing aspects of the constructions, contacting the municipal council to understand what happened, as well as the aspects of the Municipal Master Plan, which is undergoing changes. Once it has all the necessary elements, the Public Prosecutor's Office will decide whether to propose an administrative action.
Regarding the alleged break-in and theft at André Ventura's office in parliament, the PGR merely stated that the process "is under investigation with urgency," having taken place even during the holiday period.
