Security was reinforced in the surroundings of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) this Tuesday (15) during the extraordinary session that discusses the opening of an investigation against Minister Alexandre de Moraes. Among the equipment used by the Judicial Police is an anti-drone device, which was activated during the operation. Judicial Police agents confirmed to CBN that the equipment has already been used and that at least one drone was hit.
The police did not inform how many times the device was activated nor did they provide details about its operation, but they explained that the equipment works on the signal of drones. The device is large and heavy, about 1.5 meters, and was seen being operated by agents during the session coverage.
The Judicial Police also works with large-caliber weaponry in the external area of the STF. The security scheme also features shock troops from the Federal District Military Police, positioned at two points near the Supreme Court. The operation also has support from the Institutional Security Cabinet, completing the protection device around the court.
